New-look store for Waitrose

Shoppers at Waitrose in Sandbach are enjoying the delights of a new-look store after a nine week project to refit the shop. .

And Sandbach Nub News has taken a look around to see the changes first-hand, which include new "Waitrose and Partners" signage and new meat and fish and cheese/deli counters.

The store, in Flat Lane, stayed open during the revamp, which has seen a new welcome desk with new self- service checkouts.

The café has been rebranded "Waite & Rose" has been made into a larger cafe with new outside seating.

A host of John Lewis products are now on sale too, including stationery, gifts, cook and dine products.

Joanne Cotton, deputy branch manager, said comments from shoppers about the changes have been positive. Waitrose took over the store 17 years ago.
