A Sandbach man who raised over £1,250 for Motor Neurone Disease by doing a month-long 15,000 steps a day is gearing up for his next challenge – the Staffordshire Three Peaks.

Chartered surveyor, Paul Molley from Hind Heath Road, is part of a team taking part in the Staffordshire Three Peaks Challenge – a distance of 17.8 miles in under eight hours with more than 2,800 feet of ascent.

However there's a twist in that the 10 people taking part will carry at least 15kg of weight each and all of the walkers must complete the challenge.

The 10 will be walking in between the three peaks – Cheeks Hill, Oliver Hill and The Roaches - which are over 500 m.

Paul, who is hoping this challenge is as successful as his last one here said: "The aim is to add to add to the funds being raised by Freemasons in Staffordshire.

"Each year, groups of Masons from around the UK take part in a fundraising exercise to raise much needed cash to support local causes.

"The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) makes donations of more than £45m every year from funds raised by Freemasons in England and Wales.

"Local support includes the Shropshire Staffordshire & Cheshire Blood Bikes team of volunteers; the Cheshire and Staffordshire Air Ambulance; research at Keele University into blindness, and many other local Charities receive support from the MCF."

Paul, who is part of the team of 10, will do the Staffordshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday, 27th July.
