Residents hear police helicopter as it searches for stolen car

The police helicopter was called to search Sandbach last night, looking for a stolen car.

Residents living in the town heard the helicopter above at around 8 pm last night. (Sunday) but sadly the stolen car wasn't located.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police told Sandbach Nub News said: " At around 8pm on Sunday, officers attempted to stop a suspected stolen vehicle on the A54 near Middlewich.

"The white Nissan Qashqai failed to stop and made off onto the A533 southbound.

"Officers attempted to follow the car as it travelled towards Sandbach, however they lost sight of the car.

"The police helicopter attended and conducted a search of the area, but they were unable to locate the car."
