Sandbach couple launch new state-of-the-art eco-friendly dry cleaning and laundry service
A Sandbach couple are opening the doors on their new cleaning venture this weekend – and are also hoping to open a new chapter on sustainable living.
Richard Dunn and Nicole Constantine open the doors on 'Tricky Treads & Threads', dry cleaning and laundry in High Town using eco-friendly products on Saturday (May 18th).
The business duo have spent several months converting the building into their new business, after moving an off shoot of the business from Winsford to Sandbach.
'Tricky Treads & Threads Dry Cleaning & Laundry' uses eco-friendly products and plant-friendly products and has a Facebook page is here
"The products are gentle but offer a top-quality result," said Richard, who hit on the business idea previously after selling pre-loved top-of-the-range trainers.
Now he has extended the idea into clothing and the couple are offering a full dry clean and laundry service which includes wash, folding and ironing and even free pick-up.
"So many trainers get dismissed and thrown out when all they read is a good clean," said Richard, who owns '100's' of pairs of trainers himself.
Richard used the named 'Tricky' in the business as this was a nickname friends had to for him.
"We've been waiting for a premises to come up in Sandbach as we wanted to open here," said Richard who lives in the town with his partner.
"Luxury clothing items such as high- end jackets and coats are getting harder to clean but we have the solution."
In the run-up to opening, the couple have been testing the equipment including cleaning a wedding dress and a Moncler jacket.
"The results have been fabulous," said Richard. "We've cleaned a padded jacket which had been bought off a pre-loved site and had a special finish. It looks amazing."
Former A & E senior sister, Nicole, says interest in cleaning wedding dresses has been good too.
"The products give wedding dresses at gentle but deep clean and we can put them in a box in our 'wedding dress clean and box' service."
