Sandbach got its burst of heavy rain earlier today when the heavens opened leaving many roads flooded.

Drivers turning left into Abbey Road off Middlewich Road faced big puddles as roads struggled with the deluge of water.

Elsewhere in the town motorists faced other surface water after a heavy downpour just before lunchtime.
