Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Ann Nevitt, followed in the footsteps of fashionista and popstar, Louise Redknapp when she modelled one of the Eternal star's coats from her special collection.
Clothing store, Peacocks, opened a branch at Penda Way in Sandbach today (Thursday) and shoppers queued up to make the opening
Professionally known as Louise, an English singer, dancer and media personality and member of the band Eternal, the Louise Redknapp Edit range is on sale with the store.
And Cllr Nevitt was delighted to try on a red coat which retails at just £50 from the Louise Redknapp Edit range.
"I already have two other coats in red which are great for winter and Christmas time but it is a lovely coat. We welcome Peacocks to the town and wish every success to the store and its staff."
Also stocked is the menswear range as seen on football star, Michael Owen as well as the new lingerie range as loved by the model Caprice.
Queues formed before Cllr Nevitt cut the ribbon and officially opened the new store at 9 am with the Deputy Mayor, Cllr John Arnold,
First in the queue were mother and daughter, Nicola and Jessica Marsh, who arrived at 6.45 am. They each bagged a £50 'golden ticket' to spend in the store on the opening day.
Nicola, who was with grandson Theo said: "It was great to get a voucher. The store looks amazing."
Store Manager, Daniel Vernall, who heads up a team of eight staff, said the opening day had gone well. "Everyone we have spoken to has been very positive about us coming to Sandbach."
A representative from the brand said 'We are so excited to be able to welcome shoppers into our new Sandbach store.
"The store design looks amazing, and we are sure our new and existing customers will love it! We opened with all the latest styles including an amazing selection of transitional styles to prepare Sandbach for the cooler months ahead."
