A Sandbach mother-of-two is hoping to find the good Samaritan who paid for her shopping after leaving her bank card at home.

The kind gesture happened around 3pm today at Aldi when Hannah Evans was getting groceries with her two young children, Elliot and Kobie.

Hannah told Sandbach Nub News: "The woman who did it had noticed me a few times around Aldi, not so much struggling, but she could see I had my hands full with two kids.

"When I got up to the checkout, she was behind me and she was really nice. She was asking me what their names were and other things."

After checking her shopping through, Hannah realised she didn't have her bank card with her and asked the cashier if she could leave the shopping aside for her to go home and get it.

She explained: "So I left Aldi to go home and get it, but when I got back the cashier said the woman behind me had already paid for it because she could see I already had my hands full and just wanted to do something nice."

Asked how the kind gesture made her feel, Hannah said: "It's amazing, you really don't expect it. You hear about nice things like that happening, you just don't expect it to happen to you. I was shocked that someone had been that nice and generous."

Hannah is looking to find the good Samaritan, who is called Catherine, to thank her and give her the recognition she deserves.

She added: "It's not so much I needed her to pay, I just needed to go home, so I would also love to find her and pay her back for it."

Hannah posted the appeal to find her on the Sandbach Life Facebook group and despite the multiple shares and over 200 likes, the good Samaritan has yet to come forward.

Asked what she would like to say to her, Hannah said: "I would just like to say thank you for being so generous and I would love to pay her back or just know who she is to give her the recognition."
