Sandbach women's walking group team up with a Middlewich group to raise money in memory of an 11-year-old boy

Members of a Sandbach women's walking group teamed up with the Middlewich walking group to put their best feet forward at Middlewich Folk & Boat Festival in memory of an 11-year-old boy who sadly lost his life.
The 'Talking is Healing' walking group and Middlewich Sole Sisters raised a bumper £1,193.48 at the weekend by collecting money as they walked around Middlewich Folk & Boat Festival and at pubs in the town.
The money will go to the family of pedal cyclist Junior Groves who sadly died in a road collision in fatal collision in Middlewich shortly before 2.15 pm on 28th April as we revealed here .
The crash happened in Booth Lane, Moston, Middlewich, near to the junction with Tetton Lane.
'Talking is Healing' said on Social Media: "Just want to say a massive thank you to all who have been involved in this fundraiser.
"To the ladies who joined in over the weekend, to the ladies who donated and to the ladies who have shared what we've been doing on social media! You are all amazing and we are so grateful! We did Junior and his family proud. Well done everyone."
The Women's 'Talking is Healing' meets every Wednesday at 7 pm in front of Sandbach Town Hall. All are welcome to join.
