Sandbach's young stars ready to dazzle once more as a musical theatre school reopens

Sandbach's young performers are set to shine once again as Carney Academy proudly reopens its Musical Theatre School.
Carney Academy has been a cornerstone of performing arts training in the region since 2011, inspiring hundreds of young people in acting, singing, and dancing.

Its Musical Theatre branch, which closed during the pandemic, is now making a much-anticipated return to run alongside the Academy's already thriving acting classes in the town.
And on Septembe 9th it reopens its doors again in Sandbach town centre.
"Sandbach has always been full of incredible young talent," says Principal of Carney Academy, David Gregan-Jones. "Our acting classes here are buzzing, and bringing back Musical Theatre means we can offer local students the chance to train in all three disciplines – acting, singing, and dancing – under one roof. It's going to be an exciting new chapter."
Carney's Musical Theatre programme is open to ages 7–11 (5.45pm–7.00pm) and ages 12–16 (7.00pm–8.30pm), running Tuesdays during term time at a central Sandbach location.

Students will work with experienced industry professionals who have performed and taught in musical theatre, television, and film.
Many former Carney students have gone on to professional training and have appeared in theatres in Manchester, London and the West End.
David Gregan-Jones, Principal of Carney Academy, brings nearly two decades of experience ina the performance industry.
A professional actor, starring most recently in the BBC's Industry and Channel 4's It's a Sin , he is also n award-winning playwright, David combines years of training with an in-depth knowledge of the industry.

Having once been in the very shoes of his students, he is passionate about sharing the joy of performance and guiding young talent towards their full potential.
He said: "No matter their experience level, we want every student to feel the joy of performance. Our motto has always been Act - Sing - Dance – and this is the perfect place to do all three."
Enrolment is now open, and spaces are expected to fill quickly. More information and registration is available here
