Staff at a Cheshire firm have raised money for a children's hospital at a Christmas fund-raising event today.

This year, Middlewich-based Sports Coaching Group staff raised funds on Fancy Dress Friday in aid of UHNM (University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust) Charity.

The company held a mince pie and coffee morning at the firm's headquarters to collect money for the Children's Hospital at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

More than 30 staff turned up at the event, some in fancy dress and others in Christmas jumpers.

Money raised by staff will be matched by Sports Coaching Group.

Chris Regan, Sports Coaching Group Operations Director, said: "We're thrilled to be part of such a meaningful initiative.

"Fancy Dress Friday is not only a great way to bring smiles to colleagues but also an opportunity to contribute to vital local healthcare services."

An added bonus was that a video crew from the charity turned up to record the festive fun.

UHNM Charity supports the University Hospitals of North Midlands, funding critical resources, projects, and services that go beyond NHS funding to make a real difference for patients, families, and staff.
