Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Thursday, March 21st

It's the opening night of the Saxon Players' latest production, "The Beginner's Guide to Murdering Your Husband", the beginning of a three-night run for the production.

Written and directed by local accomplished playwright, David Muncaster, himself a member of Saxon Players, a group he helped form, the play is performed at Sandbach Masonic Hall and tickets, priced £10, are available through this link here

The comedy has been performed outside of the UK as well as in other parts of the country as we revealed in this article here Good luck to the Saxon Players for their first production of 2024.

The Cheshire Cheese pub in Wheelock has its weekly quiz night from 8.30 pm. Pie, chips, gravy and a pint for £10.99 followed by the quiz at 8.30pm. Free entry with a £30 bar tab up for grabs, as well as many more prizes.

Friday, March 15th

It's the second night of the Saxon Players' "The Beginner's Guide to Murdering Your Husband" at Sandbach Masonic Hall, details above.

The Comedy Hotspot is back with a new venue, St Mary's Church Hall. Four very different but very funny comics for your entertainment, with Justin Moorhouse topping the bill. Tickets are £15 in advance from here or £17.50 on the door. Tickets also available in advance from Lois's Little Cake Company on Crewe Road

Do you like Italian food? SiSi Italian, which launched recently, see our story here, has its weekly slot at Sandbach Cricket Club in Hind Heath Road from 5 pm until 8 pm.

Saturday, March 16th

It's the Armed Forces Veterans Club monthly breakfast meetup at The Military Arms in Congleton Road. This month they are joined by Cheshire East Mayor, Councillor Rod Fletcher as revealed here

Sandbach United are at home to Winsford United with a 3 pm kick-off. It's their first home match for a while so go and support them!

There's live rugby at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road where the 3rd XV play Congleton with a 3 pm start while Sandbach Colts play Littleborough with a 2 pm start.

In the evening, it's the final night of the Saxon Players' "The Beginner's Guide to Murdering Your Husband" at Sandbach Masonic Hall, details above.

Sunday, March 24th

At Olivia's Salon in Queens Drive, Sandbach there's a 'Crystals & Tropic wellness afternoon'. An informal afternoon introducing you to the healing energy of crystals ,show you how to connect ,cleanse and charge them and hints and tips around mindfulness and meditation. Follow this link here
