Sandbach care home lends a helping hand to food bank users
By Deborah Bowyer 7th Sep 2026
People receiving donations from Sandbach Food Bank are getting a help hand from a top-class Sandbach care home.
Elworth Grange Care Home is a drop-off point for Sandbach Food Bank with two donation boxes in the foyer of the Booth Lane home.
Elworth Grange Care Home manager, Rachel Collins, said: "We're a home that's heavily involved in the community.
"We feel it's important to give back as much as possible to the local community."
Donations for pasta and sauces, tinned fish and meat, tinned vegetables, tinned soups and baked beans, tinned desserts, including custard and rice pudding, cereals, tea/coffee and juice, toilet rolls and general toiletries.
Elworth Grange provides a supportive environment for older adults and is part of a family of residential care homes and specialist dementia care homes across the UK.
It opened its doors in June 2020 and has since become home to many local older people.
