Friday, February 28th

It's the Friday market indoors at Sandbach Market 9 am until 4 pm - a chance to shop local and look round a variety of stalls.

The annual Snowdrop Walks are open at Rode Hall at Scholar Green end this weekend. Admission is £7.50 for adults, family ticket £20 (up to two adults and three children), children five - 15 £3/under five year olds are free. They run until March 1st - details here

The Swan & Chequers in Hightown has its happy hour from 5 pm - 7 pm and there's 30 per cent off 'Dirty Fries'. A chance to get out of the cold and warm up with some tasty food.

Saturday, March 1st

Do you live in Sandbach's Elworth ward and have an issueyou want to discuss? Elworth's Cheshire East councillor, Nicola Cook has her monthly surgery at the community centre at St Peter's Church in School Lane.

It's Rode Hall's monthly farmers market at nearby Scholar Green if you fancy getting out to an artisan market. The market is on from 9 am until 1.30pm with live music. The craft barn will be full of talented artisans including beautiful ceramic flowers from Forever Flowers handmade macrame jewellery from Reiki and Me and Dixon Studios with earthenware and ceramics. Dawson Dean will be playing live and the courtyard kitchen will be open til 4pm as it is the last day of the Snowdrop Walk.

Fancy lighting up the vibe? It's Sandbach comedy night at St Mary's Hall in Market Square. Doors open at 7 pm, laughs start at 8 pm.

Fancy a drink or two? Take advantage of the Swan & Chequers' Saturday offers - four shots for £10, cask ale £3.50, cocktail of the week £7 or two for £11. Don't miss out!

Sunday, March 2nd

Do you love car boot sales and raising money for a good cause? Get yourself along to the Rookery Tavern in Ettiley Heath from 9 am as they have a car boot sale in aid of Ettiley Health Playing Field which was left to the local community in the 1950s by salt firm, Palmer Mann as we revealed in this story here

It's now mainly used by dog walkers and as a handy cut through to the local convenience store, although once it hosted football matches.
