Thursday, October 3rd

The Saxon Players open with the first of a three night run of their latest play, 'Wife After Death' at Sandbach Masonic Hall.

Comedian and national treasure Dave Thursby has died, and on the day of his funeral, friends and colleagues gather beside his coffin to pay their last respects. There's Harvey, who wrote Dave's material; Vi, Harvey's wife; Kevin, Dave's agent, and Kevin's wife Jane. Plenty of laughs and lots of fun. Tickets available here

Friday, October 4th

In the evening, the Swan & Chequers in Hightown has its happy hour from 5 pm - 7 pm and there's 30 per cent off 'Dirty Fries'.

Saturday, October 5th

It's Rode Hall's monthly farmers market at Scholar Green from 9 am until 1.30 pm, packed with seasonal produce including homemade artisan pies, fresh vegetables, hand crafted cheese and hand picked flowers from the kitchen garden.

There will also be ideas for Christmas gifts in the craft barn including jewellery, leather wear and ceramics. The Work Shy Fops will also be playing live.

Fancy some live football? Sandbach United's first team is at home to Abbey Hulton United at Hing Heath Road with a 3 pm kick-off.

It's the second night of The Saxon Players' latest production, 'Wife After Death' at Sandbach Masonic Hall. Ticket details and times above.

Sunday, October 6th

There's an event at Ashtanga Cheshire Studios in Welles Street aimed at slowing down. 'Women's Circle: Nestle Into Autumn With This Month's Theme Of Slowing Down' . Details and ticket information are on here Sandbach Nub News told here how Calum Thomson launched the business earlier this year.

Fancy a chilled Sunday afternoon? The Swan & Chequers has 'John's Bebop Band' - a live five-piece jazz band from 4 pm. Take time out, grab a drink and enjoy the music!
