Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Ann Nevitt, officially opened this year's Sandbach Transport Festival today (Saturday).

The town was packed with people visiting the first day of the two-day event. Today featured the '"On The Edge Motorcycle Stunt Show" amongst vintage military vehicles and a Spitfire plane.

Various bands played to a packed audience on The Cobbles who saw music from Stepping Lane, Glory Days and tribute bands live later in the evening,

Tomorrow ( Sunday) there will be the main display of vehicles and motorcycles, followed by the final parade which travels through the town.

On both days there will be activities in Sandbach Park, especially for children and alongside the transport festival and on Saturrday and Sunday there will be live music on the Cobbles including a performance from the town's world-famous Foden's Band on Sunday.
