Traffic chaos after crash between F1 Team HGV, another HGV and two cars in Middlewich

Motorists faced delays yesterday (Thursday) after two HGVs, one of them belonging to the Alpine F1 Team and two cars crashed on the A54 Holmes Chapel Road in Middlewich.

The black truck belongs to the BWT Alpine F1 Team used for transporting team equipment or hospitality units.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 12.23pm on Thursday 7 May, police were called to reports of a collision on the A54 Holmes Chapel Road, Middlewich.

"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between two HGVs and two cars.

"There were no reports of any injuries, and no arrests were made."
