Motorists faced delays yesterday (Thursday) after two HGVs and two cars crashed on the A54 Holmes Chapel Road in Middlewich.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 12.23pm on Thursday 7 May, police were called to reports of a collision on the A54 Holmes Chapel Road, Middlewich.

"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between two HGVs and two cars.

"There were no reports of any injuries, and no arrests were made."
