Two people cut free from a road traffic collision near Sandbach

Firefighters used specialist equipment to cut two people free from a vehicle which was on its side near Sandbach.

One fire engine from Crewe and one from Congleton went to the road traffic collision on the A50 and A535 junction yesterday (Sunday) at 11.52 am.

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A vehicle was on its side and two people were trapped inside.

"Crews used specialist equipment to remove the casualties from the vehicle. They were both then passed over to the care of the ambulance service."
