A business which started off life serving artisan coffee out of a van has celebrated its first birthday today (Tuesday) – and said a big thank you to its customers.

Blackwater & Grubb launched a mobile van in Sandbach Park helping people enjoy delicious coffee, tea and refreshments while out walking in the park.

The venture was such a success and developed such a good following that Peter Evans and his wife Mandy decided to take their recipe for success further.

On October 11th, the Evans family officially opened the House on Congleton Road opposite The Commons to offer an alternative venue for their customers.

The launch was covered by Sandbach Nub News as seen in the story here.

Now customers have a new location to enjoy their coffee, cakes and the Evans family say their success is all down to their customers.

Blackwater & Grubb said on social media: "Firstly thank you to all our regulars who have since become great friends – you have helped make the business what it is today.

"We've said it before but we couldn't have done it without you.

"Secondly thanks to family and friends for bearing with us, throwing in ideas and helping us grow.

"Our first year has been brilliant – from little van, to a van and The House. We have done so much together but there is still more to come. Watch this space."
