It's a busy weekend ahead with food and drink fair, charity car boot, repair cafe and craft beer trail

We've gone through and picked out a few but if we've missed anything please let us know.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, November 18th

Sandbach's Godfrey C Williams & Son in Market Square has its annual 'Taste of Christmas - Food and Drink Fair' from 4 pm until 8 pm at St Mary's Church Hall, directly behind the shop. There will be more than 20 stalls with local and award-winning produce from cheese to chocolate, pies, beer, gin and chutneys and more.

Saturday, November 18th

Today's the day - it's Celebration Day at the Co-op in Lawton Way, Elworth. Sandbach's Co-ops have raised nearly £9,500 for local causes supported by the stores and these three causes - Elworth Cricket Cub, Sandbach United Football Club and Sandbach Lions Youth Brass Band who will receive their cheques at a star-studded Celebration Day at the Co-op's Lawton Way store in Elworth. On top of that, there's a charity boot in the car park of the store as we revealed in our story here

The car boot start at 8 am and goes on until 12 noon - go along and pick up a bargain or two!

Meanwhile Sandbach's Repair Cafe is on at New Horizons, Wheelock Methodist Church in Crewe Road, Wheelockfrom 11am to 2pm brought to you by Sandbach Partnership as we revealed here Missing a button? Got a puncture in your tyre? Something mechanical that just won't go?

Bring it along to our volunteer fixers who will do their best to repair it and stop it from going to landfill. Repairs are free (with the exception of parts) although donations are welcome for a job well done.

Sandbach Rugby Club's 1st and 2nd teams are away to Wirral RUFC while the 3rd team entertain Warrington's 2s and the 4th team take on the Luctonians - both of these matches have a 2.15 pm kick-off.

Meanwhile Sandbach Sandbach United Football Club's first team are away to Stockport Town.

Sandbach Craft Beer Trail 2023 is on with five pubs in the town - The Old Hall, The Cobbles, Bar Six, The Beer Emporium and The Military Arms taking part as revealed in our What's On guide here

A celebration of the craft beer scene and pubs and bars in Sandbach it's an opportunity to explore the wide range of craft beers on offer in the town.

There's also a free beer up for grabs - order one pint of any beer in each venue and collect a stamp on your event card. Once you have a stamp from each of the five venues, you can return to your favourite bar or pub and redeem your complete event card free beer up to the value of £5.50.
