Work starts on former M & Co building after fashion retailer Peacocks advertise for staff

The lights are on and workmen have been spotted inside the former M & Co building in Sandbach. 

Sandbach Nub News told back in March here how a job vacancy for a new store manager at Peacocks had appeared on the job site, 'Indeed'.

The details said: "Here at Peacocks we have a fantastic opportunity for a store manager based at our new store in Sandbach.  

"If you would like to be part of a forward-thinking business and have a job with excellent career prospects, we would love to hear from you.

"As store manager we are looking for a well-rounded and commercial 'retail manager' who is proactive in their approach and can work using their initiative ..."

Nub News has also spotted a recent job advert for an Assistant Store Manager in "our new store in Sandbach".

The former M & Co building in Penda Way has stood empty since M&Co permanently closed all of its 170 stores in April last year as we revealed in this story here

Peacocks has nearby stores in Crewe in the Market Centre and Duke Street in Congleton.
