It was a united effort when four times cancer survivor Judith Colclough organised a fun-packed event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support on the World's biggest coffee morning today.

Dozens of people turned out to the event today at The CrossBar at Sandbach United Football Club in Hind Heath Road for the event organised by Judith Colclough, wife of chairman Peter Colclough.

Judith's neighbours rallied round to bake cakes for the occasion while friends donated raffle prizes, time and talents for the occasion including guitar playing neighbour Ian Rendle who kept the audience entertained.

Judith, who has had breast cancer four times, each time being treated at The Christie, has held a coffee morning for the last seven years to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.

She said: "I'm just so grateful to everyone who came and helped. I am a survivor and so pleased to be able to run these events. Last year I held it at the end of my drive but this year we've been able to do this."

Judith is hoping to raise around £1,000 from today's event which also included a raffle with prizes including a day's painting or decorated donated by Alsager painter and decorator, Dave Woodward of DWPD.

Dave said: "You can't begin to imagine what Judith has been through but there's no pain in me donating my time for a day for this cause. I am delighted to help."
