Heartfelt farewells: beloved floristry business owner retires after 33 years at Sandbach market

A floristry business owners has been presented with gifts and kind words to mark his retirement after 33 years at Sandbach market.

Well-known trader, Steve Lovatt, has sold his last bouquet and flowers retiring from Sandbach market where he has had a stall for over three decades.
Sandbach Mayor, Councillor John Arnold, presented Steve with an engraved tankard and a certificate of appreciation for his work over more than three decades.

Steve, who has been part of the beating heart of the market for 33 years, said it had been a real pleasure to have worked in the town for so long.
He said he would miss his customers but the time had come to retire and follow different path in his life. Steve has got up at the crack of dawn to fetch supplies for his stall.

"It's been an absolute pleasure and I will miss you all," he said.
