After a deserved 1-0 victory over fellow Cheshire side Alsager Town, Sandbach sit 5th in the league and look to put together a winning run after a mixed bag of results to start the season.

Manager, Declan Swan, will welcome the expected returns of George West and Harry Cain after missing recent fixtures, with the latter hoping to make his first league appearance of the season after a very impressive pre-season.

Speaking to Swan at the start of the season, he praised the quality throughout the squad, although this may now give the manager a selection headache after several impressive performances.

Foley Meir currently sit 17th in the NWCFL South table, albeit having only played 2 games in the league due to postponed fixtures and cup competitions.

Having won their opening day fixture 2-1 away at Cheadle Heath Nomads, a devastating 7-1 away loss to Abbey Hulton will be sure to give the Stoke side some motivation to put in a good performance at Hind Heath Road.

Having won their Edward Case first round tie against Rocester, who currently sit bottom of the league, Foley Meir will be looking to put together a good cup run alongside aspirations of remaining in the NWCFL beyond this season.

These two sides have never met in the North West Counties league season, and the Ramblers will be hoping to open their history with a win and continue the momentum gained from their previous victory.

The match kicks off at 3pm on Saturday( August 20th) at Hind Heath Road, Sandbach, CW11 3LZ.
