Sandbach United take a break from the NWCFL this weekend to face off against Dudley Town in the second qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Vase.

The Vase has been a wonderful competition for non-league clubs to experience a journey to Wembley, and both sides will hope to get one step closer when they meet at Hind Heath Road tomorrow (Saturday).

Andy Hockenhull alluded to some squad changes for this fixture due to the relentless schedule of the NWCFL league campaign alongside the need to get some match fitness into a few of Sandbach's players returning from injury and unavailability.

Dudley Town have never faced the Ramblers in a competitive fixture, so the meeting should be an interesting occasion for both teams as they have very limited knowledge of each other.

The visitors compete in the Midland Football League Division 1, and currently sit fourth in the league table having won 7 of their 9 fixtures so far.

With Sandbach receiving a bye in the first qualifying round of the Vase, Dudley got through by way of a victory against Sandbach local rivals Alsager Town.

They are in exceptional form at the moment heading into the cup tie, winning their last five matches on a row and keeping three clean sheets along the way.

Both sides appear evenly matched on paper, and it's sure to be a fantastic day of Buildbase FA Vase action in Cheshire. Kick-off will take place at 3pm tomorrow ( Saturday September 25th) at Hind Heath Road, CW11 3LZ.
