VJ Day 80th Anniversary Commemoration Services

Join us as we mark 80 years since VJ Day (Victory over Japan), commemorating the end of the Second World War.

Morning Service - Outside the Town Hall

11:45am – Flag raising with the Mayor and Town Crier, followed by the National Two-minute silence.

Evening Service - Sandbach War Memorial

8:45pm – The Sandbach Branch of the Royal British Legion, and the Sandbach, Middlewich & Comrades Branch of the Cheshire Regiment Association, will gather to lay wreaths at the War Memorial Alongside the Mayor of Sandbach

Followed by the lighting of the beacon at St Marys Church
