It's offical - Sandbach Town Council is looking for a new clerk.

The vacancy has also been advertised on Sandbach Town Council's website here .

An item on the agenda at a recent meeting of Sandbach Town Council included one for the 'Town Clerk vacancy'.

The item, which appeared as number 17, included a job description, staff structure, NALC pay scales and specimen job adverts.

Councillors were asked to consider whether to amend the staff structure to increase hours and amend the salary and approve the job description, pay scales and advertising the vacancy.

Town Mayor, Councillor Ann Nevitt told Nub News: "Ceri Lloyd has left the council and we are advertising for a new Town Clerk."

They were also asked to determine whether to extend the fixed term contract for the Interim Town Clerk and if approved, until a specified date.

The deadline for applications for the role of Town Clerk is 9 am May 9th.
