Sandbach's historic Swan and Chequers pub has launched a recruitment drive and set up a Facebook page.

The town centre pub in Hightown has advertised for a bar manager, bar tenders and chefs before it reopens.

The Swan and Chequers has been closed for a while but has undergone a major revamp and is poised to reopen.

Sandbach Nub News revealed in May here how the new look would be influenced by the town and pub's historic links to the Houses of Parliament.

A new catering kitchen has been installed together with a full refurbishment of trading areas together with smart new signage.

Robinsons Brewery said the plan was to a town centre bar that appeals "to all demographics".

A new Facebook page has also been launched here and anyone interested in a job is asked to email their CV to [email protected]

"The total venue is going to have a capacity of 180 with areas for live entertainment."

And it's not just the inside which is getting a makeover – the outside is too.

The spokesperson added: "There will be lots of large open space and there are exciting plans for the external courtyard."

We can't wait for the pub to reopen!
