A major road in Sandbach has reopened – six days after it was closed due to work being carried out.

Middlewich Road was reopened yesterday (Sunday) after Scottish Power had finished a cabling project between two sub stations as we revealed here here

Motorists were having to do a big loop around the town down Abbey Road and Hind Heath Road to get into Sandbach.

But now the road has reopened and traffic is following freely in both directions coming out of Sandbach and going into town.

Cheshire East's Elworth councillor, Nicola Cook said: "Last week was a difficult week and I am grateful to everyone for their continued patience."
