Year 7 students at Sandbach School have been told they must self-isolate following a positive Covid-19 case among the cohort.
Parents and carers were informed over the weekend that their children in the year group should not come into the school and would instead be taught remotely.

RESIDENTS in Cheshire East have been told to stay close to home because of different Covid-19 tier regulations in neighbouring areas.
Leaders of Cheshire East Council have issued the advice jointly with their counterparts in Cheshire West and Chester Council, Wirral Council, Halton Council and Warrington Council and say people should only visit neighbouring boroughs for the purposes of work, education or health only.

Detectives from Cheshire Police have charged a man with drugs offences following a vehicle stop-check at Sandbach Service Station.
Ervi Sanxhaku, of no fixed abode, was arrested after a vehicle was stopped by officers at the southbound service station on Thursday 15 October.

Sandbach Town Council has launched this year's Poppy Lamppost sponsorship scheme to help raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
The scheme involves individuals, groups and businesses sponsoring a poppy on the lampposts throughout the town centre at £5 each.
Sandbach United saw their winning start to the season halted by the new table toppers Vauxhall Motors, with the home side running out 2-1 winners at the Syncreon Arena.
Andy Hockenhull made one change from the side that convincingly beat St Martins 5-1, with in-form Robbie Hatton unfortunately unavailable. However, promising young striker Bobbie McDonnell passed his fitness test following a recent knee issue to start the game.
