Site Manager required for 10 week contract in Stoke-on-Trent. Site Manager will be running a small £350k project to install 4 new clean rooms into an existing food preparation facility. You will act as number 1 on site and be responsible for the whole project up to completion. You will be overseeing 4 specialist sub-contractors for the project, which will be placed in a segregated section of the factory. This role will be client facing so the successful candidate will be comfortable and confident dealing with the client on a day to day basis. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring timely delivery of the project. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel. Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to maintain efficiency. Conduct regular site inspections to uphold quality and safety standards. Liaise with stakeholders to address project needs and resolve challenges. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager, preferably in clean room construction or high-specification environments. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with budgeting and project scheduling tools. Certification required is CITB SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS qualifications. A key part of this role will be to liaise with the school leaders as you work to transform the IT network and infrastructure, transitioning services over to the cloud, working with the wider IT team. In terms of the wider IT team, this role will involve working with a Senior IT Technician and also an IT apprentice, ensuring they are supporting pupils and staff with service requests, working closely with them to ensure the upskilling of their abilities and developing their knowledge. From a daily infrastructure perspective, this will involve working with desktops and laptops, AV equipment, printers, supporting with bespoke educational systems such as MIS and catering systems, as well as working daily on Microsoft 365. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you will be an established IT or Network Manager in the education sector looking to further progress your career by taking on a challenging new role which will involve delivering on new projects and taking full accountability for the schools' IT budget and infrastructure. This role could also suit an established IT Lead or Technical Specialist looking for their first leadership role where they can further develop their skills. It is essential that the successful candidate, as a minimum, has some mentoring experience, or ideally, leadership experience. Working in the education sector would be beneficial however, this isn't essential, but a passion for this sector is required.
