Historic St Mary's Church in the centre of Sandbach is launching a toddler group and they are appealing for toy donations.

Called 'Praise and Play' the group will be run on Mondays 9 am until 10.30am and starts next month.

There will be stories, play and refreshments and anyone is welcome to attend the group which begins on September 19th.

The church is particularly looking for things like bricks and Duplo, play kitchens and equipment, mini slides, ride on toys, water tables, puzzles, dolls and toy prams.

Jayne Manfredi, St Mary's new curate said: "We'd be really grateful for donations of any toys you don't use anymore and think might be handy for us to have.

"They will be gratefully received and very well used and cared for!

"Donations can be dropped off at the church: best time from Monday to Thursday mornings from 9am or our  vicar, Rev Bee Boyde will collect from you if you're local and unable to drop off. "
