Home is where the care is: Right at Home South and Mid Cheshire's live-in care success

Live-in care is an increasingly popular option for people who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes while receiving full-time support.
At Right at Home South Cheshire and Right at Home Mid Cheshire, this service is carefully organised and managed by a dedicated local team to ensure it meets each client's unique needs.
Personalised Support at Home
Live-in care involves a professional CareGiver living in the client's home to provide around-the-clock assistance – a great alternative option for a person who may be considering moving into a Residential Care Home or Nursing Home, but would prefer to remain in the comfort of their own home.
The support provided may include personal care, help with medication, cooking, light housekeeping, and emotional companionship. It's also an ideal solution for those living with conditions such as dementia or needing end-of-life care.
Typically, a Live in CareGiver will be expected to be working 8-10 hours per day and will be provided with their own room where they can sleep through the night.

Organised from the Local Office
Every care journey begins with a detailed home visit and assessment carried out by a local Care Manager. This is used to create a tailored care plan that reflects the client's lifestyle, preferences, and health needs.
CareGivers are then carefully matched with clients, not just on skills and experience, but also personality and compatibility.
They typically work in shifts of two to three weeks at a time, with a second CareGiver stepping in to ensure continuity during breaks.
It's important to ensure that rest breaks are planned in, and this usually is a 2 Hour break in the day where the Live in Carer is free to leave the home and get some exercise.
Sometimes family cover this two hour break, or another CareGiver can be arranged to cover this period if needed.

Ongoing Oversight and Support
Live-in care is actively managed by the local Right at Home office, with regular check-ins, supervisions, and care reviews.
The CareGivers are fully trained and have 24/7 support from the office team, meaning they're never on their own when facing a challenge.
This hands-on approach helps ensure that clients receive consistent, compassionate care that adapts as their needs change—all while staying in the place they know and love: home.
