Calling all budding entrepreneurs – a Sandbach school is running a Dragons' Den-style competition for young scientists.

Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College has launched a competition for students to design something to 'make the world a better place'.

The Middlewich Road school's 'Dragons' Den' contest is open to students from Year 7 to Year 11 but sixth formers are also encouraged to take part.

A spokesperson said: "The idea is for students to come up with and present ideas which could make the world a better place.

"This gives the students an opportunity to use their presentation skills (both to create the marketing materials and also present to Dragons).

"There is the chance to win an Easter egg and points for their house. It's hoped the teams of 'Dragons' will be made up of College students."
