Community connection: Elworth Grange Care Home launches monthly support group for families and carers

HC-One's Elworth Grange Care Home in Sandbach is proud to announce the launch of a new monthly Carer's Support Group, designed to offer vital support, information, and companionship to those caring for a loved one.
Elworth Grange, which provides both residential and residential dementia care, is opening its doors on the last Tuesday of every month, from 11am to 12pm, to welcome carers from the local community.
These friendly, informal gatherings create a safe space where carers can connect, share experiences, seek advice, and receive guidance from experienced professionals.
The inaugural meeting took place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, attracting several local carers who enjoyed afternoon tea and heard from a special lineup of guest speakers.
HC-One's Chief Executive Officer, James Tugendhat, attended the launch to engage with the community alongside the Elworth Grange Home Management Team and Lifestyle Manager Suzy Astbury, all of whom are committed to offering tailored support to carers.

In addition, Natasha Wilson, HC-One's Dementia Care Manager, shared expert advice on dementia care.
Rachel McIntosh, Home Manager at HC-One's Elworth Grange Care Home, said: "Our Carer's Support Group events are a friendly and informal space for anyone affected by a care diagnosis, whether they are carers themselves or recently diagnosed.
"We aim to build a community where people can feel safe, supported, and better informed about the care available. The warm response to our first event reflects how much these connections are needed."Elworth Grange's team is also on hand to assist attendees in accessing additional support services, ensuring carers do not face challenges alone.
