Football fans get Manchester United legends' autographs before Sandbach United beat them 5 - 2

Young football fans saw their dreams come true when they came face-to-face with Manchester United legends. 

Many waited patiently to get the autographs of the Manchester United players are they walked on to the pitch at Hind Heath Road. 

Sandbach celebrated their 20th anniversary with a match at their Hind Heath base against Manchester United Manchester United XI.

Manchester United might have won the FA cup final but they failed to beat Sandbach United yesterday (Sunday). 

Sandbach United beat the Red Devils 5 – 2 in a match which saw a team including Wes Brown and Keith Gillespie take to the pitch. 

Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Ann Nevitt was there to watch the match along with a packed crowd cheering Sandbach on.

Sandbach United XI included players from the original 2004 adult team along with players who had made 100 appearances or more for the club. 

Club chairman, Pete Colclough, who was due to play but unfortunately got injured during training said: "We welcomed some Manchester United legends to our club. We had premier League winner, FA cup winners and even treble winners on our pitch."
