Award-winning local singer/songwriter makes it into album featuring top artistes

An award-winning singer/songwriter who lives near Sandbach is celebrating after making it into compilation album featuring the likes of Jack Savoretti.

Rob Wheeler, who lives in Haslington, won the Songwriter of the Year Award at the 2021 ARC Radio Listener awards and was nominated for six awards in the radio competition.

And now his work, 'Waterfalls' is featured in Café Covers Volume 3 which is released on February 23rd.

Rob, who now lives in Haslington near Sandbach but grew up in Alsager said: "Absolutely thrilled beyond words to announce my next release is coming February 23rd.

"My version of TLC's 90's classic Waterfalls has been being featured on the brand new Cafe Covers Volume 3 album."

The easy listening compilation is described by Amazon as "the essential selection of warming acoustic renditions from international hit artists and breaking viral acts … featuring the very best stripped-back covers of modern-day hits and timeless classics …"

Rob's work, 'Waterfalls' track 13 on the compilation which also features Nell Bryden's 'Not Over Yet'.

American singer-songwriter, Nell Bryden, invited Rob, who comes from a musical family, to join her 2022 tour.

And In August last year, Rob Wheeler, appeared as support with The Shires at Gawsworth Hall.
